Sheffield, UK - 29th July, 2026 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the re-signing of William Lee for the 2026-27 Super League Basketball season.
The 31-year-old experienced forward, hailing from Alabama, USA, rejoins the Sharks for the 2026-27 campaign. Will averaged 9.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game in his first season in Sheffield in 2025-26. Lee boasts extensive experience across the UK and overseas, having previously played with the Manchester Giants and Leicester Riders as well as in Serbia and Germany in his professional career. He played four years for the UAB Blazers in NCAA D1, and had spells in the NBA Summer League as well as the NBA G League before beginning his professional career overseas.
Will is looking forward to returning to the Sharks for 2026-27, “I’m very happy to be returning to Sheffield for another season. I really enjoyed my first season in 2025-26 and I’m disappointed it ended in injury for myself, so I’m looking forward to getting started again in 2026-27.”
Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons stated “Will is a great defensive presence and offers a threat both inside and outside the paint on the offensive end. He is a great character and was an excellent fit in the locker room last year so I’m glad that he’s returning for the new season. I’m certain the fans will be excited to see Will return as well and I’m sure they will be singing his name from the bleachers when the season gets underway!”
