B. Braun Sheffield Sharks 98–76 Caledonia Gladiators
The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks opened their home campaign with a convincing 98–76 win over the Caledonia Gladiators at the Canon Medical Arena.
Sheffield led from the opening quarter and kept Caledonia at arm’s length throughout the second half. Maceo Jack earned MVP honours with 25 points, while Adrian Delph and Sean Bairstow added 21 and 18 respectively. New arrivals Prince Onwas and Lu’Cye Patterson also contributed on their Sharks debuts.

Key Moments
The Sharks made a strong start, opening the game with an 8–0 run. Christian Keeling got Caledonia on the board from three-point range, but Sheffield stayed in front, with Jack’s dunk closing the first quarter at 23–17.
Sheffield extended its lead in the second. Bairstow repeatedly found his way to the basket, while captain Fahro Alihodzic and former Gladiator Onwas added points inside. The Sharks went into half-time ahead 42–31.
Caledonia looked to respond after the break, but Delph hit from outside and Patterson provided a lift on his debut. Jack added a three as Sheffield pushed its advantage to 71–53 heading into the fourth.
Fraser Malcolm opened the final quarter with a three for the visitors, only for William Lee to answer from beyond the arc. The Sharks remained in control and closed out a 98–76 victory.
MVP
Maceo Jack led the Sharks with 25 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal, earning the game’s MVP award. Delph finished with 21 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Bairstow added 18 points, two assists and one steal.

The Sharks host Leicester Riders at the Canon Medical Arena on Sunday 11 October, with tip-off at 4pm.
