The 24-year-old guard, hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, joins the Sharks for the 2026-27 campaign. Patterson last played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in NCAA D1 in 2024-25, averaging 11.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Lu’Cye has also previously played with Charlotte and Missouri State in the American college system.
Lu’Cye is excited to be joining the Sharks for 2026-27, “I’m really looking forward to playing in Sheffield this season. This will be my first professional basketball season so of course I can’t wait to get going. I had a really good conversation with Coach Lyons and I feel like I am a good fit for his style. There looks to be some really talented guys on the roster so I’m excited to see what we can achieve together this season.”
