The Sheffield Sharks are a professional basketball team that hail from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. We compete in the British Basketball League (BBL), the top tier of basketball in the UK. We are presently known as the “B. Braun Sheffield Sharks” as B. Braun Medical UK is our current naming right sponsor.
The Sharks most recent title is the 2016 BBL Playoff Final Championship where the Sharks defeated the Leicester Riders at the London O2 Arena in May 2016. Long-standing Captain Mike Tuck took home MVP honours.
The club has played in many venues throughout our 25 year history – the Sheffield Arena, EIS and Ponds Forge. For the For the 2023-24 season we're moving into our new home at the Canon Medical Arena, situated at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.
Developed by Canon Medical Systems and operated by PCA Ltd, the Canon Medical Arena is the first carbon-neutral built arena in the UK.
