About Us

We are The Sheffield Sharks, a professional basketball team that hail from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. We compete in Super League Basketball, the top tier of basketball in the UK. We are presently known as the “B. Braun Sheffield Sharks” as B. Braun Medical UK is our current naming right sponsor.

Established in 1994, we are the winners of 15 titles in British Basketball. On 9 March 2025 at the Nottingham Arena, the Sheffield Sharks defeated Surrey 89ers 105-97 to claim the SLB Cup — the club’s first major trophy of the modern era. Donovan Clay was the standout performer on the night, finishing with 23 points and 9 rebounds to claim the MVP award.

Developed by Canon Medical Systems and operated by PCA Ltd, the Canon Medical Arena located on the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park is the first carbon-neutral built arena in the UK and the home of the B. Braun Sheffield Sharks and B. Braun Sheffield Hatters.
