The experienced pair will share the responsibility of leading the Sharks on and off the court, bringing a strong understanding of the programme and the standards expected by Head Coach Atiba Lyons.
Ocherobia enters his third season with Sheffield, while Alihodzic returns for his second campaign. Both bring extensive experience in British basketball and overseas, providing valuable guidance for a squad featuring returning players and new arrivals.
Head Coach Atiba Lyons said:
“I’m excited to have Fahro and Mike as our captains this season. They bring a wealth of experience, and both have been around the programme long enough to understand what we expect and what it takes to perform consistently at a high level.
“They know the standards we want to maintain, whether that’s in training, on game day or in how we carry ourselves off the court. Their leadership will be important in helping our new players settle in and making sure we get the best out of this team throughout the season.”
The appointments recognise the pair’s experience and familiarity with the Sharks programme, with both set to play an important role in maintaining the team’s intensity, accountability and consistency throughout the 2026–27 campaign.
