Sheffield, UK - 29th March, 2026 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the signing of Troy D’Amico for the remainder of the 2025-26 Super League Basketball season.
The 23 year-old forward hailing from Chicago, Illinois, joins the Sharks for the remainder of the current Super League Basketball season. In what is Troy’s first season in professional basketball, he joins after beginning the season in Slovakia with BK Iskra Svit. D’Amico started his college career at Southern Illinois, playing there for 3 seasons before transferring to DePaul in NCAA Division 1 for his senior year in 2024-25.
Troy is excited to join the Sharks in 2025-26, “I’m looking forward to playing in Sheffield for the rest of the season. It seems to be a great roster; I really like the guys on the team and it’s been good to get some practice sessions in together to keep the chemistry going. The people and the city are really nice so I’m excited to get started.”
Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons stated “Troy will be a great asset for us as we head into the business end of the season. We have a very busy schedule to see out the regular season and then it’s straight into the intensity of the Play-Off’s, so Troy will be able to get stuck into the action immediately which will be great for both him and the team.”
