British basketball is coming back to the Shark Tank, as the fixtures for the inaugural Super League Basketball season have been announced this morning by the League.

In a historic season for the B. Braun Sheffield Sharks – our 30th campaign as the Sharks – Coach Atiba Lyons’ side tip off the campaign on the road on September 27, as our rivalry is renewed with the Newcastle Eagles to commence the Super League Basketball Trophy campaign.

Sharks fans will have the chance to pack the Canon Medical Arena just two days later as the team plays their first home game of the season against the Cheshire Phoenix. Tickets for the game will go on sale from:

Looking ahead to the new season, Coach Lyons said:

"We're very excited to bring basketball back to Sheffield for the upcoming 2024-25 season in the brand new league - Super League Basketball. The guys are here and have already been working extremely hard in preseason to ensure that we hit the ground running in September. We have a talented and hungry group who all have one thing on their mind for the year, silverware!"
