SHEFFIELD, England — The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks today announced the release of “Here Come the Sharks,” the club's first-ever original intro anthem, produced in an international collaboration with Emmy Award-winning producer Musicman Ty. The track will make its live debut when the Sharks open their 2026-27 Super League Basketball season at Canon Medical Arena, home of the club since 2023.
The song blends Sheffield's steel-city heritage with a bold, horn-driven sound, built to open the season with the same intensity supporters bring to every home game. It was written and produced specifically for the Sharks, marking a new chapter in the club's matchday identity as it enters its 33rd season.
“This is a track built for our fans, our city, and our team,” said a Sheffield Sharks club spokesperson. “Working with a producer of Musicman Ty's caliber gave us the chance to create something that truly represents Sheffield's identity, and give our supporters an anthem they can call their own from the very first note.”
“Here Come the Sharks” is designed to become part of the full matchday experience beyond the season opener, with the track set to anchor pregame introductions and in-game moments throughout the 2026-27 campaign at Canon Medical Arena.
Musicman Ty, whose Emmy-winning body of work spans television and major live event production, developed the track remotely with the Sharks' front office over several months, incorporating the club's navy, gold, and silver identity and Sheffield's industrial heritage into the sound design.
“Sheffield has one of the most passionate fanbases in British basketball,” said Musicman Ty. “I wanted the track to feel like the city itself — forged, powerful, and built to last. This isn't a jingle. It's an anthem.”
