Sheffield, UK - 11 October, 2024 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the signing of Rodney Chatman for the 2024-25 season.
The 26-year-old guard hails from Lithonia, Georgia, USA and joins the team as the Sharks still battle in the Group Stages of the SLB Trophy. Chatman attended university at Chattanooga and Dayton but finished his NCAA experience with the Vanderbilt University Commodores.
He then went on to start his professional career with Team FOG Næstved in the Danish Basketligaen in the 2022-23 season. In 2023-24 he represented Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski in Polish OBL where he averaged 10 ppg 1.4 rpg 2.4 apg 1.2 spg.
Rodney is looking forward to the season in Sheffield, “I can’t wait to join the team and hit the ground running. It seems like an exciting time to be a part of the Sharks with the new ownership and the new league.”
Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons is happy to welcome Chatman to the squad, stating “Rodney will be a great addition to the team. His experience at the guard slot will help add some more depth to that position and take some pressure off the rest of the team. We’re excited to see what he can bring to the table.”
