Sheffield Sharks Sign James Reese V

Sheffield, UK - 28th February 2025 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the signing of James Reese V for the 2024-25 Super League Basketball season. 

The 26-year-old 6’4” guard joins the Sharks for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. Reese completed his NCAA D1 career in South Carolina in the 2021-2022, where he averaged 10.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game during his senior year. He has also played overseas in Venezuela, Mexico and Argentina since graduating from college. Across the 2024-25 season so far, Reese has averaged 13.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Reese is looking forward to joining the Sharks for the rest of the season, “I’m excited to be here and join up with the squad. I’ve been so impressed with the set-up at the Canon Medical Arena; it’s a great facility and I’m thrilled to be here. It’s clear to see that there’s a great group in the locker room this year and I can’t wait to get started”. 

Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons expressed his excitement with the addition of Reese V, stating “We’re all excited to get James onboard as part of the Sharks. He’s a dynamic guard who will bring more depth to our backcourt and give us a stronger defensive presence. We look forward to his versatility and energy for the final stretch”. 

Scottie Lindsey has completed his one-month contract with the club and we wish him all the best in the future.
