Sheffield, UK - 21st July, 2025 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the re-signing of Rodney Glasgow Jr. for the 2025-26 Super League Basketball season.

The 32-year-old point guard rejoins the Sharks for the 2025-26 season to mark his fifth season with the club, and the experienced guard becomes the first signing of the summer ahead of the new Super League Basketball season. Originally from Broklyn, New York, Rodney has become a staple in Sheffield and provides the leadership on the court and on the sidelines. During the 2024-25 season, Glasgow Jr. averaged 4.4 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game, in a season highlighted by lifting the Super League Basketball Cup in front of thousands at the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena as the Sharks defeated the Surrey 89ers to take home silverware to the Canon Medical Arena.

Rodney is looking forward to another season with the Sharks in 2025-26, “I’m really excited to be coming back for my fifth year in Sheffield. Lifting the Cup in Nottingham in front of all of our fans who showed out for us was one of the best moments of my career. It’s become a home for me, I feel very comfortable in and around the club so it was an easy decision for me to make to come back. I’m looking forward to next season and I’m excited to build on last season.”

Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons stated “Rodney understands our values as a club and provides invaluable experience throughout the locker room. A fifth season at the club demonstrates that Rodney is very happy in Sheffield, and I’m sure that continuity will prove invaluable in another long and exciting season of Super League Basketball.”
