Sharks Travel to Porto for Inaugural ‘Parede International Cup’ Competition

The B. Braun Sharks announced their pre season plans with a number of friendlies taking place in advance of the BBL 2022/23 season.

The opening weekend of September will see the Sharks take off for Portugal at the invitation of the Porto Municipality as they launch the inaugural Parede International Cup competition.

The Sharks will face Europe’s finest as they go up against Budiveljnik Kyiv, Bilbao and FC Porto.

The invitational takes place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th September in Porto, in what promises to be a fantastic challenge in one of Portugal’s most cultural cities.

The return home will see the Sharks welcome the Cheshire Phoenix to the EISS for the first of two BBL friendlies.

On Saturday the 10th September , tip-off 6.00pm, the Phoenix will fly into town as one of the Sharks toughest adversaries in recent times. Tickets are limited but currently available via the sharks office contact natasha.clark@thesheffieldsharks.com.

The final leg of preparation will see us back in the North East to tackle the new look Eagles. New Head Coach and GB assistant Mark Steutel will be hosting Coach Lyons and the team for a final preseason bout.
