Sharks sign Amercian Guard, Jalon Pipkins

The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the signing of Jalon Pipkins to the club. The 24-year-old, out of Paris, Texas joins the club after starting the season in the Finnish – Korisliiga league.

The 6’4 guard spent his final two seasons of university at Purdue Fort Wanye which he graduated from in 2022. Jalon started every game averaging 13.5pts, 3.1rebs, 2ast and 1.5stls throughout his senior season and was named to the All-Horizon League Third Team and Horizon League All-Defensive Team.

In Finland, Pipkins appeared in 26 games for Salon Vilpas, averaging 10.3pts, 2.4rebs, 1.9asts, 1.3stls, .46 FG%, .30 3P%.

Coach Lyons is excited about the addition,

“I think Jalon will add a different dynamic to the team. He is a strong, athletic, versatile guard that can play multiple positions. He has the ability to play high tempo, above the rim but the biggest thing that stood out to me is his tenacity on the defensive end. We look forward to welcoming him to the squad.”

Pipkins will replace Tyrn Flowers who was released from contract earlier this week. The Sharks would like to thank Tyrn and wish him all the best for the future.
