Following the departure of Jonathan Williams who left by mutual consent prior to Christmas, the Sharks are pleased to announce the signing of Devante Wallace.
The 6’5 shooting guard/small forward originally from Baltimore, attended High Point University in North Carolina, joins the team in the new year following a short stint in Romania.
Wallace has enjoyed an illustrious European career in countries including Hungary, Finland and Czech Republic averaging 14pts and 4 rebounds a game.
“We are thrilled to have Devante join us he will add strength to the team because he brings a lot of high-level experience and without question scoring ability,” said Coach Lyons. “He is a player that will add to our dynamic and a great guy who I know will fit right in”.
Because of Covid protocols Wallace will unfortunately miss the weekends game against Leicester but will hopefully be in time for practise next week.
“I am really looking forward to joining the Sharks,” said Wallace. ”It is a top team with an excellent reputation and I feel I can contribute to being a consistently winning side.” Said Wallace. “I already know Rodney (Glasgow Jr) from my college days, so I know I am joining a quality competitive side.”
