Super League Basketball Championship
The ticker tape has barely settled but the SLB Cup-winning B. Braun Sheffield Sharks get right back to action this Wednesday in the League when they welcome Cheshire Phoenix to the Canon Medical Arena. Atiba Lyons’ men, fresh from their thrilling 105-97 success over Surrey on Sunday, drill back into the bread and butter of the SLB Championship with what promises to be another testing encounter. Cheshire sit in fifth in the standings with a 9-11 record and it always goes without saying that games against the team from the North West are always keenly-contested affairs.

Ones To Watch
Nick Timberlake – They love a shooter in Ellesmere Port and Timberlake fits that description to a tee. Top-scored with 28 in Cheshire’s last outing against Caledonia, going 3 of 5 from deep and knocking them down at 90% from the line as the ‘Nix claimed a tight win.
Larry Austin Jr – Those trademark downhill runs were on full view during the Gladiators success. Austin made 8 of 11 from inside for his 18 points as well as claiming 4 boards, 5 assists and a pair of steals in the 94-96 victory.
Cameron Holden – There’s been an uplift in form as Holden returned to his ‘do-it-all’ ways in the win north of the border. Holden drew 10 fouls as well as adding 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to put Cheshire back in the win column.
RJ Eytle-Rock – Needs no introduction to Sharks fans who are already well aware of his wealth of talent. Shot at 62% on his way to 14 points against Caledonia to give Coach Thomas a nudge that he is worth every minute given.
