Sheffield, UK - 20th August, 2025 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the re-signing of Reyad West for the 2025-26 Super League Basketball season.
The 24-year-old forward, born and raised in Sheffield, re-joins the Sharks for his second season with his hometown club. Reyad’s first season saw him score his first points as a professional, whilst his off-court mentality and value to the team was highlighted by being named the Players’ Player of the Year at the 2024-25 club awards.
Reyad is excited to re-join the Sharks in 2025-26, “I’m proud to wear my hometown jersey. Playing professionally in Sheffield means so much to me, and I’m excited to be back for 2025-26. I learnt a lot during my first season here so I’m looking forward to progressing further this coming season.”
Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons stated “I’m looking forward to seeing Reyad continue to progress and improve with another season with us. It is always a privilege to see somebody truly understand what it means to wear the Sharks jersey and the pride in which he takes to play in his hometown.
