Ones To Watch

Tyrik Armstrong – the Giants bounced back from their loss in Sheffield with a 91-92 win on the road at Cheshire. Armstrong came up with a 12 point, 10 assist double-double for Manchester.

Martaveous McKnight – Armstrong’s backcourt partner has been in great shooting form all season and last Sunday was no different. He made 5 three point shots on his way to 24 in total to lead the Giants scoring.

Josh Steel – Steel forms part of an excellent core of British talent in Manchester this season. He too shot an efficient 63 percent from the field to contribute 16 points in the Giants North West derby triumph.

Dan Clark – He may be finding his way back from injury but GB skipper Clark is hugely influential in the Manchester rotation. He pulled down 5 boards and dished out the same number of assists to go with 8 points in his calm, no fuss fashion to contribute to the Giants first league win.

Friday sees the Sharks fourth visit to the National Basketball Performance Centre, having won the first one but losing the two most recent encounters.

Five of the last six matches between the Sharks and the Giants have resulted in home wins.

The Giants have scored at least 70 points in fifteen of the last sixteen clashes with the Sharks.

The Sharks 101 points against the Giants last Friday was the first time since 6th December 2020 that they have reached the magic three figures – the last being a 105-61 win over Surrey – a gap of 40 games.
