The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks play their final game of 2022 on Thursday evening as Cheshire Phoenix are the visitors to Ponds Forge. The North West outfit have played one fewer game than the Sharks and currently hold sixth place with a 7-9 record. The Sharks will be looking to end the year with a bang and break a four game losing streak ahead of a currently-scheduled three week break from competition.
Larry Austin – The ‘Nix haven’t played since December 16th when they went down by 117-96 to Caledonia. Despite making a slow start, Austin was key to the Cheshire comeback on his way to a typically-influential 27 point tally.
Tahjai Teague – The famous basketball family runs deep as Tahjai poured in 25 against the Gladiators to keep his side in the contest. Averages 11.3 for the season with 4.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals from 24 minutes action.
Maceo Jack – Contributed 18 points in the Caledonia defeat, just one shy of his season best which came against Bristol back in November. Was on court for 36 minutes as Cheshire battled on short-handed without key man Jamell Anderson.
Marcus Evans – Former Bristol Flyer who has carried on his remarkably consistent form from his time spent down in the south west. Averages 14.5 points per game for the ‘Nix and has only failed to make double figures once this campaign.
