NATE MONTGOMERY RETURNS TO THE B. BRAUN SHEFFIELD SHARKS

Sheffield, UK – 21 August 2023 – The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks, of the British Basketball League, proudly announce the re-signing of Sheffield local, Nate Montgomery. This marks Montgomery’s remarkable 6th consecutive season with the club, a homecoming for the 23-year-old that came up through the Sheffield Sharks Junior development pathway.

The 5’10 guard, Nate Montgomery now has veteran experience as a Sharks player. His return adds depth and experience to the team as they head into their 30^th British Basketball League campaign and the first season at the Park Community Arena developed by Canon Medical.

“I am excited to be back with the Sharks. I have been with this club since I start played organised basketball, this team is family to me, and I can’t wait to continue contributing to another season,” said Nate Montgomery. “This is such an exciting time for the Sharks as they head into a new arena and a new era, I can’t wait to wear the Sharks jersey once again.”

Head Coach Atiba Lyons shared his excitement about Nate’s return. “Nate continues to grow as a player year on year. His dedication, skill, and positive attitude are a testament to his character, both on and off the court. I am eager to see how his presence will impact the upcoming season.”

Not only is Nate entering into another season with the Sharks as a professional player, but he is also giving back, entering his second season as a coach within the development pathway. This season Nate will head up U12 and U14 teams with the Junior Sharks.
