Kipper Nichols Rejoins the B. Braun Sheffield Sharks

Sheffield, UK - 20 September, 2023 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks, who compete in the British Basketball League, are thrilled to announce the signing of Kipper Nichols for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Nichols returns to the team for his fourth season in a row.

An Ohio native, Nichols rejoins the Sharks for his fourth campaign. The 6’ 6” small forward averaged 11.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game during the 2022/23 regular season.

After 4 years of college basketball with Illinois, Nichols made his professional debut with the Sharks after joining for his first professional contract in the 2020/2021 season. A versatile player who has strengths all over the court, Nichols will look to continue his growth with the team once again.

Coach Atiba Lyons expressed his excitement over Nichols' return, saying: 

 "Kipper is an exceptional player who brings a great level to each and every game; he is a presence on both ends of the floor. We are excited to bring him back to strengthen our core with another returning player who knows what it takes to be successful in this league."

Nichols is eager to continue his journey with the Sharks, stating:

"I am honoured and grateful to be rejoining the Sharks for another season in the British Basketball League. The city and the fans have always welcomed me, and I can’t wait to settle into the new Canon Medical Arena as well. I know the league and what is expected of me at the Sharks, returning with a good core from last season will help myself hit the ground running and I’m excited to get started.”

Kipper Nichols returns to the club to replace Zach Walton, who was released this week. The club would like to thank Zach for all his efforts and wish him all the best for the future.
