Sheffield, UK - 31st July, 2026 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the signing of Dan Gherezgher for the 2026-27 Super League Basketball season.
The 22-year-old rookie guard, hailing from Brookfield, Wisconsin, USA, joins the Sharks for his first season as a professional for the 2026-27 Super League Basketball season. Gherezgher spent the last two seasons with Northern Kentucky in NCAA Division 1, averaging 15.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in his senior year. Dan began his collegiate career with Michigan Tech (2022-2024), averaging 15 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in his sophomore season.
Dan is looking forward to starting his professional career with the Sharks for 2026-27, “I’m very excited to be signing with the Sharks for my first season as a professional. I have had great conversations with the coaching staff and management whilst also hearing a lot of good things about the club. I want to be successful throughout my career and those same visions are shared with the club so I can’t wait to get started. I hear the fans in Sheffield really support their team, so I’m really looking forward to experiencing that.”
Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons stated “Dan has a lot of potential and I feel his game suits our team as well as the league. He is a volume shooter whilst shooting a good percentage which I’m looking forward to seeing on this roster.
