The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks are proud to announce Roundabout as their official Charity Gameday Partner for the upcoming fixture against the Caledonia Gladiators on Sunday 14th December at the Canon Medical Arena.

This special Christmas-themed matchup will shine a spotlight on the vital work of Roundabout, South Yorkshire’s youth homelessness charity, while offering fans the chance to give back to young people in need during the festive season.

Roundabout will have a strong presence throughout the gameday, setting up stalls in the main reception area, hosting a charity raffle, and leading a bucket collection. Their branding will be displayed across the Canon Medical Arena, and the charity will take over halftime to share more about their work and the impact they make across Sheffield and the wider region.

Founded in 1977, Roundabout supports more than 400 young people aged 16–25 every day, helping them break the cycle of homelessness. Through safe accommodation across Sheffield and Rotherham, practical support, and personal development programmes, the charity provides the tools and stability needed to help young people move forward with confidence and independence.

Young people supported by Roundabout recently took part in a basketball session put on by the Sharks, joining in fun activities and shoot-outs. “It was brilliant with really good vibes,” they said. “It was nice to meet real basketball players; they were so friendly and helpful. It’s a great memory.”

Roundabout’s CEO, Ben Keegan, added:

“It’s a privilege to be chosen by the Sharks as beneficiary for this fixture, particularly at a time of year where young people may feel vulnerable and alone. This support will go a long way in ensuring every young person supported by Roundabout has a Christmas present to open this December, whilst enabling our residential properties to put on a festive spread for young people with nowhere else to go during the period. We’re grateful to each and every one of you for playing your part in making Christmas brighter for homeless young people in the region.”

As part of the campaign, fans are encouraged to donate gifts for young people supported by Roundabout. Donations can be made via the charity’s Amazon Wishlist (https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3C2VLJ69SFUMP?ref_=wl_share) or by dropping off presents directly at the Canon Medical Arena, which will serve as a collection point up until Thursday 18th December.
Those who wish to contribute financially can also make donations at https://www.roundabouthomeless.org/donate/.

The partnership reflects the Sharks’ continued dedication to community impact beyond the basketball court, bringing together sport and social responsibility under one roof this holiday season. Fans attending the game can expect a powerful atmosphere of generosity, teamwork, and festive spirit — all in support of an incredible local cause.
