Sheffield, UK - 2nd August, 2024 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the re-signing of Rodney Glasgow Jr. for the 2024-25 season, marking the first signing of the 2024-25 preseason.
The 31-year-old guard hails from Brooklyn, New York and 2024-25 shall mark Rodney’s 4th season as a Shark after first joining the team part way through the 2021-22 season. For the 2023-24 season, Glasgow Jr. was named team co-captain, and provided the vocal leadership throughout the campaign. During the 2023-24 season, Rodney averaged 6.4 points per game, 1.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Rodney is looking forward to another season in Sheffield, “I’m so pleased to be back in Sheffield for another season. The home we’ve made at the Canon Medical Arena is fantastic, the fans were brilliant all year and I hope they’ll bring the same energy again this season. I really enjoy every aspect of my role here at the Sharks and I can’t wait for the season to get underway”
Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons expressed his excitement of the retention of Glasgow Jr., stating “Rodney has been a key piece within the locker room, providing the experience and guidance in all the possible situations you find yourself in during a long season of basketball. He knows Sheffield and knows exactly what it means to play for this club. I’m very happy to have Rodney back with us for another season.”
