DBL Sharks Sheffield overturned a First Leg deficit to see off Esh Group Eagles Newcastle on the road and advance. Atiba Lyons’ side move into the Semi-Finals and one step closer to repeating their success at The O2 from 2016.

Turning point – The Sharks made a fast start to wipe out yesterday’s deficit and Williams’ corner three to beat the half-time buzzer put his side up 13 at the break. Newcastle fell as many as 21 behind on the night, but rallied late on to cut the gap only to miss out on a place in the next round.

Key stat – Sheffield were clinical on the offensive end with 57% shooting inside the arc to come out on top in a high-scoring tie.

Game hero(es) – Alexander led the way with an impressive 28-point haul for the Sharks with Williams equally influential with 23 points including five triples. Martin added 15 along with seven boards and five assists as all five starters hit double figures.
