Sheffield, UK - 7th August, 2024 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the re-signing of Jordan Ratinho for the 2024-25 Super League Basketball season.
Ratinho rejoins the Sharks for his 5th season with the team, after making his debut on 3rd January 2021, joining part way through the 2020-21 season. The 26 year old has been an ever present in the squad since debut in 2021, already playing for the Sharks in 154 games in his career so far, and will look to further add to the tally this season. During the 2023-24 season, Jordan averaged 6.4 points, 3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
Ratinho is happy to be back with the Sharks once again, “I’m really pleased to be back for my fifth season with the Sharks. I’ve felt at home in Sheffield since I came here in 2021; it’s a great club and a great city so I was very happy to come back for another season. I’ve always loved the fanbase in Sheffield and that really grew last season at the Canon Medical Arena, so I’m excited to play in front of those crowds again”.
Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons expressed his excitement with the re-signing of Ratinho, stating “I’m thrilled to have Jordan with us again for this season. He has a fantastic work ethic and is a very versatile player who has developed vastly since his arrival in Sheffield. What Jordan does so well is all of the small details that are so important to us that don’t necessarily show up on the stat sheets. I’m sure that will continue in the same vein this season.”
