Sheffield, UK – The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks regret to announce that point guard Rodney Chatman has sustained ligament damage to his knee during a team practice last week. The injury will see Chatman out of action for the foreseeable future, with further updates on his recovery timeline to be provided as they become available.
Chatman’s absence comes as a significant blow to the Sharks, as he has been instrumental in the team’s performance this season. Sharks GM, Sarah Backovic, commented, “Rodney has been a key part of our backcourt, and we’re going to miss his leadership on the floor. Our medical staff is working diligently to support his recovery, and we wish him a speedy return.”
Additionally, EC Matthews remains sidelined with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action for the past few weeks. Matthews’ continued rehabilitation is progressing, and the Sharks are hopeful for his return later this season.
Despite these setbacks, the Sharks are determined to push forward in their Super League Basketball campaign. Fans can continue to show their support by attending the next two thrilling home games at the Canon Medical Arena:
